AI customer service for SMEs
AI customer service means a digital assistant answers customer questions via WhatsApp and the chat on your website, evenings and weekends included. It answers from your own information, such as prices, service area and opening hours, and passes difficult questions on to you.

What's the difference between an AI agent and a chatbot?
A traditional chatbot follows a fixed menu of options. An AI assistant understands free text, asks follow-up questions when something is missing, and can take a next step: create a request, book an appointment or look up the status of a job. That makes the conversation more natural and faster.
Where does the assistant get its answers?
From a knowledge base with your information: services, prices, service area, opening hours and frequently asked questions. We fill it in with you at the start and keep it up to date. The assistant doesn't invent prices or make promises that aren't in the knowledge base.
Once the knowledge base is filled, we add the chat to your website and connect WhatsApp. When a customer asks something, the assistant looks for the answer in your information. If it isn't sure, it says so honestly and sets the question aside for you. If the customer wants something done, the assistant asks what's needed and creates a request or suggests a time. All conversations come together in the dashboard: you read along, step in where needed and see which questions keep coming back, so the knowledge base grows with your business. You decide what the assistant may and may not say. Complaints, custom prices and anything it's unsure about come to you with the conversation attached, and you can take over any conversation with one click; the assistant then stops.
What about the EU AI Act?
Customers must know they're talking to AI. The website chat therefore always shows "Digital assistant (AI)", and on WhatsApp the assistant introduces itself that way. Read more in disclosing a chatbot under the AI Act.
Since 2 August 2026 a customer has to know they're talking to AI, which is why our assistant always says so itself. Customer data is stored on a server in the EU, is only visible to your business and is only used to answer the question. We sign a data processing agreement with every customer, as the GDPR requires.
Who is it for?
For SMEs that get many of the same questions and can't reply all day: trades businesses, salons, hospitality and service providers.
In a small business you are usually the customer service yourself. You're on a job, cutting someone's hair or standing in the kitchen, and meanwhile the questions come in: are you open tomorrow, roughly what does this cost, do you also come to my town? Each one is quickly answered, but together they keep pulling you away from your work. And someone who asks a question in the evening doesn't want to wait until the next morning. A digital assistant catches those questions, so you can focus on the work itself.
Examples by industry
For an installer, the assistant answers questions about the service area and maintenance, and with a breakdown it asks about the appliance and the address. For a bike repair shop it explains how dropping off and collecting works and when a repair could be ready. At a salon it helps a customer choose the right treatment and book an appointment. In hospitality it answers questions about opening hours, allergens on the menu and groups. And for an estate agent it passes questions about a property or a viewing on to the right person.
How it works
- Customer asks a question
- Assistant answers from your knowledge base
- Asks follow-up questions where needed
- Creates a request or appointment
- Difficult questions go to you
Frequently asked questions
Can the assistant make mistakes?
It only answers from your information and passes doubtful cases on to you. You can read back every conversation in the dashboard.
Does it work on my website?
Yes. You add the website chat with a single line of code.
Which package includes AI customer service?
Reachable+ and every Office package.
Does a small business need a chatbot on its website?
If you get many of the same questions, or visitors outside office hours, it helps. A good website chatbot answers from your own information, says it is AI and passes difficult questions to you, so customers never feel they can't reach anyone.
Can I take over a conversation from the assistant?
Yes. The dashboard shows every conversation. With one click you take over and reply yourself; the assistant then stops in that conversation.
Can I try it first?
Yes. You can try it free for 14 days, without payment details. We fill in the knowledge base with you, and it ends automatically if you don't want to continue.
